Recruitment Information
Recruitment takes place every year between March and June across the North East region.
Adverts will appear in the local and national press around the middle of March and applications can be obtained by writing to our Human Resources Department at the address shown below, or by telephoning them on (01642) 230533.

Note that the closing date for applications is normally around the end of April.
Successful applicants are invited to a one day assessment centre where they will be asked to complete a written exercise, a presentation, a semi-structured interview and a groupwork exercise. From this, the higher scoring candidates will be called forward for interview in the Probation Area of their choice.
Successful candidates will commence the two year training programme at the start of October.
